Learn about why this scholarship is offered, what drives us, where the funding comes from and what lies ahead
This scholarship is a tribute to the memory of Azmal Hoque. It encapsulates his idea 'Education can provide better life'. To follow into his footsteps and uphold his legacy, we think it is imperative that we give back to the community as he has taught us to. So, what could be better than trying to encourage young minds to know their true potential and carry on to be our future leaders with morality and integrity in their hearts?
The reason behind choosing 4th grade students for these scholarships is that at 5th grade a government provided scholarship already exists and 3rd grade students will be too young, so we decided to go with the 4th grade students. 3rd grade students will get inspired for the next year and 4th grade students can study free of cost at 5th grade till they appear for the government provided scholarship.
The driving factor for this scholarship is plain and simple. Azmal Hoque's true passion for providing good education to the children and keeping his legacy alive for generations to come.
The source of the funding for this scholarship is completely non-commercial and already taxed (in Bangladesh) income of the family members of Azmal Hoque. We do not accept any donations.
Our future plan is to try and expand the amount of scholarship grants as well as the number of scholarships to as many students as possible.
